as we sleep
we imagine all of each other
as we really are.
we imagine the people there
the ones whose bodies lie, that
we see inside each other.
our quiet forms
quiet from dreaming
our quiet dreams.
we trace our hands
across each others faces
we do it, and we don’t know.
as we wake
we put on clothes
as if we’re someone else.
we pretend we're not who we are
that we are unaffected
we're not.
our quiet forms
quiet from not sharing
our quiet selves.
